Story of ZulJauhsyan

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

ا سَـــــــلاَمُ عَلَيــْــكُم وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكـَـاتُه

Zuljauhsyah has been called to embrace Islam by Prophet Muhammad s.a.w himself, but it was unfortunate because at that time Islam was still being oppressed, isolated and wars were still going on.
There was clearly no sign that Islam will win and take over Makkah and its surrounding lands.
Thus, Zuljauhsyan hesitated with the offer, weighing his options. He then slowly declined the offer by saying that if he embrace Islam at that moment, he too will be downtrodden by Arab Musyrikin like other people.
He added that he will embrace and convert to Islam only after Islam has won and already proven its greatness.

Finally, as determined by Allah s.w.t, Islam finally won the battle and rose as the ruler of Arab with all other great powers bowed to its leadership and reign. At that time, Zuljauhsyan remembered his promise and embraced Islam.
But deep in his heart he was so devastated and sad that he declined Prophet Muhammad's offer to embrace Islam long time ago, before Islam's victory. Sadly, opportunity doesn't knock twice.
Alhamdulillah, praise to Allah, the grace of Iman and Islam were his before he died.

But it was truly a great loss to miss the grace of struggle and Jihaad, not to mention Tarbiyah which were received by the companions and the others by going through all the trouble and struggle to defend and raise Islam.

Allah said in At-Tawbah : 117
Allah has already forgiven the Prophet and the Muhajireen and the Ansar who followed him in the hour of difficulty after the hearts of a party of them had almost inclined
[to doubt], and then He forgave them. Indeed, He was to them Kind and Merciful.

"Remorse is the poison of life"

And is there any remorse bigger than to waste your chance and opportunity in which we possess while we're young, healthy and energetic?

Either we realise it or not, time flies quickly. We might feel we're still young and there's still a lot of time to carry out our duty as a Daie in our life. But what we do not realise is that while we are thinking that there will always be an ideal moment for us to carry out our duty, we have already wasted a lot of our time. How many years have we live so far? And what have we achieved?

Bear in mind, that all of us will be asked about one thing in Hereafter.
"What have we done in our life?"

Life could be really meaningful as when we are young. It is the most ideal moment to embrace all the sweetness of the world and enjoy ourselves while we still have the strength. But it is also the right moment for us to be a warrior, a fighter and a Mujahideen of Allah ! Those who are willing to sacrifice his wealth and soul, seeking Jannah. While we are still young, make up our mind and choose our paths, to be lost sucking the sweetness of the world or preparing ourselves to die in Allah's cause.

Allah said in At-Tawbah : 38

O you who have believed, what is [the matter] with you that, when you are told to go forth in the cause of Allah , you adhere heavily to the earth? Are you satisfied with the life of this world rather than the Hereafter? But what is the enjoyment of worldly life compared to the Hereafter except a [very] little.

There's still time to choose: Heaven or Hell
